Finn at Live Earth Farm

I took Finn to his first farm! It's a wonderful little organic farm in Watsonville called "LiveEarthFarm" http://www.liveearthfarm.net/... They promote sustainable and organic farming and have farm days for kids 3 and under once a month! Now, they're growing lots of fruits, vegetables, flowers and are showing off their many baby goats and chickens...

As berry season arrived, Finn became totally obsessed with them... Strawberry's being his favorite... so going to a real strawberry patch, I'm guessing, is the highlight of his young life thus far. He eat as many berry's as he could fit into those cheeks!

With the Goats and Chickens...

Finn was not as excited about visiting the goats and chickens...he couldn't eat them, and some of the goats were much bigger then him. And it may not have helped that I jumped every time a chicken came close...not a huge bird fan :-) However, he did find one baby goat that he wanted to pet and become friends with.

Quinn's Trip to Bali

On June 19, 2010 a very close friend, Cara Mancini got married to Tony Geros in Bali! At first, I didn't think I was going to make it... having a little guy and all. However, my very generous parents and warm hearted husband told me I couldn't miss it... so I packed my bags and headed off to Bali solo.

I flew from SFO through Bancock and Singapore to DSP, Bali. The flight was about 20 hours... I arrived to meet up with Kira, Erin and Ben along with many of the wedding guests in Seminyak. Seminyak is the shopping hotspot of Bali... I couldn't believe how many stores there were...Endless. From Seminyak we headed east to a more remote area of Bali called Canguu. We stayed at Ni Rampe Village Villas... which was beautiful. Here we relaxed in the sun, and celebrated Cara's 30th birthday at a beach front restaurant...We then ventured across the entire island of Bali to the wedding location in Pemuteran at Amertha Bali Villas http://www.amerthabalivillas.com. It was spectacular!

Kira, Erin, Ben and I shared a villa equipped with our own pool and living area... truly spoiled. Brooke and Ben arrived on Thursday before the wedding and the old "Boulder" crew was 1/8 united... Missing Lauren, Julia, Brie, Devin, Robin, Marie and many more...

I haven't had such a truly relaxing trip in a very long time... it was really strange not looking after Finn or having to organize anything... I read 2 novels, swam in the ocean, snorkeled, got a few massages, drank too much Binsang Beer and soaked up the tranquil Balinese culture.

Aside from the brutal and long flight...It was a truly energizing place! Here's some of my pics.

McCovey and Finn...

When we first brought Finnly home, McCovey didn't really pay much attention to him... however, as he became mobile, McC soon discovered that he was one to keep an eye on. When Finnly started to walk, McC would run away every time he came close... he soon realized that was WAY too much exercises for a Bernese Mountain Dog, and decided to except Finn as playful brother...

Finnly and Erik have always had a very special bond... they are silly together! Lately Finnly has really bonded with dad and loves to do whatever he's doing...

Finnly has been really interested in sitting on things... blocks, shoes, McCovey... and eventually chairs. So we got him his first lazy boy... he loves to sit on it and read his books or watch the "Upside Down Show" and suck his thumb with his blanket...

Our very good friends, Katie and Cory Wagner just had a baby boy on May 31, 2010. Katie and I did a little photo session with baby Dean... We got a little silly... didn't realize that Dean was "bigger" then the radio flyer... good try.

Finnly was not too interested in Dean his first few visit, but this last time, Finnly couldn't get enough. Especially when he found out that if he hits Deans stomach, it sounds like a drum!

4th of July in Aptos 2010

This summer we decided to stay in Aptos for the 4th of July and not in Cape Cod... it made Erik a little sad, but I think he enjoyed the small town feel of the Aptos Parade and I know he had fun at Kira's 30th/4th of July party at Kendra and Joey Wolfe's house...Finn loved the parade, until he decided to take a nap...
